Coaches Message - James Richmond

The Georgetown Raiders are committed to provide opportunities for their athletes to pursue their athletic and academic goals while playing in the Ontario Junior Hockey League. A graduate of UNH, Coach Richmond understands and values the importance of education amongst athletes. Our coach is in constant communication with the NCAA, CIS schools to ensure that every student athlete has the opportunity to pursue their goals. Coach Richmond encourages the strengths of each student athlete, on and off the ice, to achieve both their academic and athletic goals.

The Georgetown Raiders share the goal with the OJHL to "support their players through their academic, athletic and personal lives through their pursuit of individual goals". Raiders offer opportunity for players to continue with their academics while playing competitive hockey.  Player's progress and attendance is monitored by Coach Richmond to ensure that they are fulfilling their duties as a student and an athlete. For those athletes who have achieved their diploma, there are many opportunities for the student athlete to upgrade or begin on their academic journey after Junior Hockey in the surrounding GTA region.
